It's a bad week to be an elderly performer on a soap, apparently!!Actor James Mitchell, who played Palmer Cortlandt on the ABC soap opera "All My Children," has died at the age of 89. He played the role for nearly three decades. The cause was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated by pneumonia.
